THE DISCIPLINE

A shared understanding of progress.

For project owners, PMCs, planners, and practitioners who need physical progress to mean the same thing across a capital project.

From completed work
to informed decisions.

Project Intelligence connects a consistent method of measuring physical work with the evidence needed to understand what has been achieved.

It brings the project team around common definitions, structured work, and a traceable record of progress. The approach is technology-neutral: the method comes first, the platform supports it.

CORE CONCEPTS

The vocabulary of a shared method.

These introductory explanations provide a starting point. Refer to the current PIBOK documents for authoritative definitions and implementation requirements.

Work Class

A standard type of work (e.g. HV Cabling) with a defined set of Work Steps.

Work Steps

The physical steps that complete one unit of work; each is verified individually.

RWF (Relative Weight Factor)

The weight of each Work Step within its Work Class; together they total 100%.

Plan–Do–Check–Act with Flag

Five states – 01 Plan, 02 Do, 03 Flag (work done but not yet checkable), 04 Check, 05 Act. Progress counts only at 05 Act.

Progress and readiness

Progress shows how much verified work is complete; readiness shows what is holding a system back from the next phase.

Verified Progress-Based Payment

Payment based only on Work Steps verified at 05 Act, traceable to evidence.

The Executive Guide introduces a progression of maturity horizons. Use the guide to understand the horizons and assess the next practical step for your organisation.
